What is Solar Smart Charging?

Solar Smart Charging is our innovative software-based solution that optimizes the use of solar energy to charge your electric vehicle. We leverage cutting-edge solar forecasting technology, drawing data from a global network of weather satellites, to predict the energy output of your solar panels.

How does it work?

Our algorithm takes into account your charging location and the specifics of your Solar PV system to estimate the power your solar panels will generate. It then determines the most efficient times to utilize this solar electricity for charging your car. If your vehicle cannot be fully charged with solar energy during the day, we intelligently schedule the remaining charge during the most cost-effective periods based on your energy contract.

What about historical solar data?

When a user first adds solar data, we not only retrieve the current solar information but also collect 7 days of historical data. This historical data is preserved indefinitely, ensuring you have access to a complete record of your solar energy generation.

How long is historical solar data kept?

Currently, we have an unlimited retention period on solar data, meaning that the data is not deleted over time. However, this might be subject to change in the future.
